Montagnolo Affine, a blue cheese from Germany, has won the title of supreme champion at this year’s International Cheese Awards in Nantwich.
The soft mould ripened cheese is made with pasteurised cows’ milk and cream by Kaserei Champignon and is imported by Elite Imports.
Last year’s winner Wookey Hole cave aged cheddar made by the Ashley Chase Estate was named reserve champion while Belton Cheese won the trophy for highest number of gold awards at the Nantwich event.
