Pub group director is Selfridges' new food chief

Selfridges has appointed pub group Mitchells & Butlers’ operations director Brian Hannon to replace recently departed Ewan Venters as its new director of food and restaurants.

Hannon is expected to take up his new role at the retailer in October, after 19 years at  Mitchells & Butlers in a variety of roles.

It was announced last month that Venters was leaving Selfridges to become the chief executive at Fortnum & Mason.
