Godminster launches new cheese formats for delis

Somerset cheese-maker Godminster has launched two new versions of its products, including a brie cutting wheel, specifically for the independent deli and farm shop market.

Its organic brie, made with Jersey milk, is now available in a 1kg cutting wheel while its traditional organic mature Cheddar will alos come in 190g pre-packs.

The brie will be available in three flavours: plain, with peppercorns, or with garlic and chives.  

The organic mature cheddar is usually coated in the firm’s trademark ruby wax but the new version is cut and wrapped for display in chiller cabinets.

Godminster general manager Jessica Kimber-Holloway said both products had been developed in response to numerous requests from independent retailers.
