Regional food group Taste of the West has announced the gold, silver and bronze winners in its inaugural South West Flavour Awards, set up to recognise the region’s retail and hospitality sectors.
There were 10 gold winners across the five retail categories including Town Mill Cheesemonger in Lyme Regis, Washingpool Farm Shop in Bridport and Darts Farm near Topsham in Devon.
Lifton Farm Shop on the Devon-Cornwall border, Plymouth’s Moostone Meats Farm Shop and Newton Farm Foods in Bath also won gold.
The Conservatory Restaurant at the Eastbury Hotel in Sherborne, headed by chef and Great Taste Awards adjudicator Brett Sutton, took a gold in the hospitality section.
The overall winners of each category will be announced at the Taste of the West awards ceremony taking place at The Eden Project on October 16.
