Organic food specialist What On Earth is re-launching its discontinued range of chilled pizzas citing demand from both consumers and the trade.
The London-based firm stopped making the range 18 months ago, after deciding to concentrate on producing frozen pizzas.
It has since opened a new kitchen in Battersea that will boost production capacity and allow it to deal with increased demand for its food.
The chilled range of 11-inch pizzas (wholesale price £33.30 for case of 10) will be available in the same six flavours as the frozen range.
Toppings include Florentine (spinach, blue cheese & pine nuts) and Mia (mozzarella, roasted courgette & goats’ cheese).
Co-owner Jeremy Jaffe said: “There appears to be a lack of good alternative organic pizzas on the market, which is why we have been experiencing such a high number of requests for us to re-introduce our chilled range.
“We are targeting a real niche in the market by re-launching these pizzas and we are eager to get them back out there, to increase brand recognition and become known as one of London’s best local and organic producers.”
