The Guild has run the first course in 2010 for the inspirational Retail Ready training programme. This training programme is designed to equip managers of prospective, new or developing delis and farm shops with the business essentials of fine food and drink retailing.
It runs delegates through the process of opening their own store – from business plans and finance to leasing and legal issues to health and safety, store fit-out and merchandising and marketing. The next Retail Ready course will be in the autumn.
The last course was a resounding success with positive feedback from all delegates.
